League Information:
Starting the week of January 8th, 2018, GreatLIFE Suburban Lanes will host a 10 week league on our brand new TruGolf simulators.
The league will consist of 64, two-person trams. Teams will be divided into four divisions. Each division contains sixteen teams. Teams will play divisional opponents throughout the season. The top two teams from each division will advance to the playoffs.

Schedule:
League nights are every Wednesday and Thursday nights with two different time slots for league play. The first sessionwill be from 6pm-8pm and the second session will be from 8:30pm – 10:30pm.
There will be a Ladies League on Tuesday nights from 6pm-8pm
**If Wedensday and Thursday nights fill up we will have a Monday league as well
Tuesday League – Kaufman Division
Wednesday League – Palmer Division
Thursday League – Nicklaus Division
Format:
All matches will be 9 holes. There are a possible 12 points that may be earned in each match. There will be 3 ways to earn points for your team during each match.
Four-ball:
Four-ball match play and individual match play, with two teammates playing their net better ball against the net better ball of the opposing team. The team that wins the hole receives 1 point; if the teams tie the hole, each team receives half a point. The team with the most points at the end of the match is awarded an additional point for a maximum possible total of 10 points per team match.
Individual Matches:
The individual matches will be played during your four-ball match each week. Each individual on the team will have their own match against one of the opponents. Each individual match will be worth 1 point. Before matches begin, players will be matched with their opponent based on handicap. The winner of the individual match is determined by the total net score.
League Handicaps:
We will use your scores from the first five weeks of league to generate a handicap. Your handicap will be based on your play throughout the season and will be adjusted each week by the committee based on your score. Playoffs:
A two-week playoff season will begin March 19th (the week following the last week of the regular season) and culminate in Championship and Consolation matches. The top two teams from each division will qualify for the playoffs and will be seeded based on their total regular season points. Each seeded team will compete to claim the title of 2018 GreatLIFE Golf Simulator League Champions.
Playoff Spot Tiebreakers:
In the event of a tie, when deciding which team advances to the playoffs, ties are decided based on head-to-head matches. If there is still a tie after comparing head-to-head matches, the advancing team is determined by (in order):
- Total points from the last 6 weeks of play
- Total points from the last 3 weeks of play
- Total points from the last week of play
Playoff Match Tiebreakers:
The winner of playoff matches resulting in a tie will be determined based on the USGA preferred tie-break method. The advancing team is determined by (in order):
- Team score from the last 6 holes
- Team score from the last 3 holes
- Team score from the last hole
- Team score on the number one handicap hole, and so on
Substitutes:
GreatLIFE Golf Simulator Leagues Matches are played in accordance with the TruGolf profile handicaps or a USGA GHIN handicap. Teams/players are responsible for finding their own subs. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to cover your absence. If the sub does not have a TruGolf profile with a handicap or a GHIN handicap the sub will play to a zero handicap. Suburban Lanes will not be held responsible if a sub cannot be found.
Forfeits:
All league players are recommended to find a sub in the absence of a player. If a sub cannot be found, a team may compete with 1 player representing the team. If both team members are unable to play and connot find substitutes, they will fail to turn in a score for the week and will forfeit that week. The forfeiting team receives zero points and the team winning by forfeit receives 8 points. If both teams are unable to turn in a score for a specific week, both teams receive zero points for that week.
